History of Clark County Paving, Inc.

Clark County Paving Inc. was founded in 1996 by Paul and Michael Owenby. We believe that the road to success is paved with excellent service and a tireless work ethic.

Paul’s first career was as a diesel mechanic for Ford, he was the first in his family to graduate from college. Paul later started his own truck repair shop and ended up buying and driving a dump truck to make extra money. This is where he first got into paving. Michael started her working career at Nordstrom, in sales and then was promoted to a fashion buyer. This gave her a fantastic background in customer service. After having children she began a career in real estate in Clark County. She later became a buyer at Clark College and managed the office for Clark County Paving Inc. as well. The business continued to grow and she eventually had to work for the family business full time.

Paul manages the paving and seal coat crews and Michael manages the estimating, and office personnel. Together this makes a well-balanced team. Paul and Michael have two children which are now becoming actively involved in the company. Paul Jr. currently is employed on the paving crew and Patience in her Senior year of college works in the office and estimating.

Although Clark County Paving Inc. has grown since its inception in 1996 it still is a family business with family values. In 2019 Clark County Paving became a corporation changing its name to Clark County Paving, Inc. It is still one of only a few owner-operated paving companies left in the area. They appreciate their employees and think of them as extended family. Many decisions have been made including the employees, so we can keep focused on providing our
best work possible.

Honesty is one of our core values and flows into our estimating process. We believe in helping people to better understand their options by giving customers accurate information. This estimating style allows customers a better understanding and appreciation for their project over the typical sales pitch-style bidding practice. Estimating like this allows customers to make the best, most informed choice for their specific needs.

Our high level of commitment to customer service, and job quality, has provided them with a loyal customer base that is still the foundation of Clark County Paving Inc. to this day. The company places a high value on our customer’s opinion and try to do whatever it takes to make sure that each person we work with is happy at the end of the job. That is why, even now, our largest source of new customers is referrals from previous customers.
